Our Program

DAY TIME

 

Day 1

Orientation Activities get to know the other campers.

Goal setting session with Diabetes Educators and Mentors

 

Day 2

Also Learn about how to prepare for travel.

After lunch we are off to ride a horse and visit the local Chocolatiere. You will learn how you can still enjoy these little luxuries!.

Day 3

Start with a drive to Geelong for fun at the Laser Skirmish. This activitity is under the expert supervision and instruction of the qualified staff.

Then it's back to camp to learn some great tips - including pumps.

It's then outside for a session of archery under the expert supervision and instruction of the qualified YMCA leaders.

 

Day 4

A morning of fun around the camp with the Big Swing.

After lunch we will have a walk to the beach, then along the river bank, learning about the creatures that live there. At the end of the walk canoeing on the Anglesea River with the YMCA staff.

Day 5

A roundup of what has happened at camp, what you have learnt and achieved. A really good way to end a great week.

After luch it is pack up & farewells.

We will leave camp at 2.00 pm

NIGHT TIME

Night 1

We will dine out at a local restaurant. Campers will learn how to deal with the challenges of ordering a meal and being in public.

Night 2

More informal fun and getting to know each other around a camp fire or movie (depends on the weather!)

Night 3

A quiet night and social time at camp with a closed session with the camp mentors.

 

Night 4

Pizza for dinner!

Then there will be time to relax an enjoy the last night together with the music machine.

Time to just have fun!

The program for the 2027 camp is currently being planned.
